Laurin Tirpitz just finished their master in philosophy at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Their primary interests are social philosophy, feminist philosophy, and asexuality studies. They showcase what the intersection of these fields can look like in their master’s thesis, which is titled “The Joy of Consent and the Misery of Compulsory Sexuality”.

My Research
My current goal is to bring asexuality studies into feminist philosophy, build bridges between those two and ultimately help create the field of feminist asexual philosophy. I believe that philosophy can bring a lot to asexuality studies, but also that philosophers have much to learn.
