The field of Asexuality Studies is unknown to many, and those who work in this field are often isolated from other Asexuality Studies Scholars in their daily lives. To make the field of Asexuality Studies more visible and give people who work on Asexualities a platform to engage and connect with one another, we are organizing this two-day international workshop.

The Workshop will be held in English. This will be an academic workshop, but it is open to anyone who is interested in academic work on Asexualities. You don’t need to be Asexual or work on Asexualities to participate. We especially welcome Asexuality Studies Scholars as well as all those who identify as asexual or relate to asexuality from intersectional perspectives. If you are part of one of these groups, please indicate that in your subject Heading, so we can prioritize your registration. The room is wheelchair-accessible. Some entrances to the building are accessible by ramps, but most of these entrances won’t have automatic doors. Inside the building, there are ramps and elevators to get to each floor. We were able to organize a quiet room for both days. If you are feeling unwell or suspect you might have COVID-19, please consider not coming to the event, self-testing at home prior to the event, or coming with a mask on.

Registration is free. Please register by November 21 by sending a quick email to laurin@tirpitz.me. The number of participants is very limited, so please only register if you can make it to most of the talks. Please only attend the workshop if you have received a confirmation mail from us. If you received a confirmation mail but can’t make it, please send us an email, to free up the spot for someone else.
